Dr. Teresa Alasio, MD, is a Board Certified physician and founder of Intentional Self Aesthetics, a physician-led medical aesthetics and skin rejuvenation practice in New Canaan, Connecticut. Trained at Mount Sinai in New York City with a background in pathology, Dr. Alasio brings a precise, natural approach to aesthetic medicine, specializing in treatments that help patients look refreshed, not overdone. She believes aesthetic care is not about changing how you look, but aligning how you feel with how you present to the world, combining advanced technologies with personalized, high-touch care. In addition to treating patients, Dr. Alasio is a mentor and educator, committed to elevating standards in medical aesthetics and helping both patients and professionals achieve confident, natural results.

Allison Sosa-Vega is a Connecticut licensed esthetician and Esthetics Provider at Intentional Self Aesthetics, a leading destination for medical aesthetics in New Canaan, CT. A graduate of the New York School of Esthetics, Allison brings over five years of experience and a genuine passion for healthy, radiant skin to every appointment.
Allison believes great skin starts with a personalized plan. She takes the time to understand each patient's unique concerns, lifestyle, and goals — crafting customized treatment journeys that deliver lasting results. Specializing in facials, chemical peels, and HydraFacial treatments, she helps patients across New Canaan, Greenwich, Darien, and Fairfield County put their best face forward.

How We Stay Involved
We’re proud to be a pillar of the New Canaan community. Our founder, Dr. Teresa Alasio, is a New Canaan resident, and she is dedicated to social responsibility and local community engagement.
Intentional Self Aesthetics is part of the New Canaan Chamber of Commerce and participates in local Chamber events throughout the year, such as the Summer Sidewalk Sale. Dr. Alasio is an active member of the New Canaan Rotary and supports local foundations in fundraising efforts through donation of her time and professional services. Dr. Alasio also writes a regular health column in the local newspaper, The New Canaan Sentinel. In the past, she has served on the Board of Directors for the Domestic Violence Crisis Center of Stamford and has co-chaired the annual Voices of Courage luncheon.
Even before starting Intentional Self Aesthetics, Dr. Alasio has always loved the opportunity to connect with New Canaan through parent associations in the New Canaan Public Schools, where her two boys attend, participating in programs at the New Canaan Library and supporting local foundations that have in interest both in the preservation of the history of New Canaan and those which support its future.
