What to Expect With Sculptra
You can schedule a consultation with Dr. Alasio to discuss if Sculptra is the right treatment for you, and have the treatment on the same day if you are eligible!
A series of injections with Sculptra (poly-L-lactic acid) are administered into the targeted areas, usually on the face, to stimulate collagen production.
You might notice slight swelling and redness at the injection site right after treatment, which should subside within a few days. Significant improvements in facial volume and wrinkle reduction will become noticeable gradually over several weeks, with the most optimal results appearing within 3-6 months.

The Benefits of Sculptra
Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which triggers the body's natural collagen production process. This leads to gradual and sustainable improvements in skin elasticity and structure.
Unlike temporary fillers, Sculptra provides results that can last for up to two years. This is because the collagen stimulation process is ongoing, resulting in a prolonged effect.
Sculptra injections are typically performed with a very fine needle, resulting in minimal discomfort and downtime.

To make sure you get the most out of your Sculptra treatment, follow these simple pre- and post-care steps. They can help minimize any side effects and keep your complexion looking fabulous.
Pre-Care Instructions
- Avoid consuming alcohol and do not use Retinol-based products (including those with vitamin A and C) 3 days before your appointment.
- Discontinue Omega-3 and Vitamin E supplements, NSAIDs, and anticoagulants 7 days prior.
- Let us know if you have any viral skin conditions such as Herpes Simplex Virus.
Post-Care Instructions
- Massage the treated areas 5 times a day for 5 minutes for 5 days
- Massaging helps distribute the product evenly and reduces the risk of lumps
- Apply ice packs 15 to 30 minutes at a time to reduce discomfort.
- Do not apply makeup for 24 hours.
- Adhere to specific post-treatment instructions given during your appointment.
- Avoid intense heat (including hot tubs, saunas, sunbathing, or tanning) for 48 hours after.
