PlaDuopro Care Instructions
There are a few necessary steps you can take before and after your PlaDuopro treatment in New Canaan. That’s how we help you achieve the best results and keep your skin healthy. By following them, you can ensure a smooth recovery and get the most out of your rejuvenation journey.
Pre-Care Instructions
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your treatment.
- Refrain from taking NSAIDs like aspirin up to 72 hours before your session.
- Please come to your appointment without any makeup on.
Post-Care Instructions
- In the first week following treatment, only use the skincare products we provide for you.
- Avoid products with Vitamin A or Vitamin C for the first week.
- Don’t use exfoliating products, toners, or harsh chemicals for at least 7 days.
- Wait at least 2 weeks before getting any chemical peels.
- Ice packs and Tylenol can help with any discomfort or swelling—continue to avoid NSAIDs.
- Arnica supplements are okay to use as directed.
- Do not pick at your skin.
- Avoid shaving for at least a week.
- Try not to engage in activities that will make you sweat.
Treatment Options
Gentle Energy: Our PlaDuopro gentle energy “lunch time” treatment in New Canaan that’s ideal for mild skin issues and fine lines. It’s less intense and requires minimal downtime. Uses predominantly Argon and low Nitrogen levels, and no anesthesia necessary.
Dynamic Energy: The Dynamic Energy option targets deeper layers to address more pronounced wrinkles and skin texture issues, as well as hair growth stimulation. You can expect some downtime, but the results are well worth it. Topical anesthesia is usually required.
Intensified Energy: This is the most advanced level of PlaDuopro. It’s designed for more significant concerns like sagging skin and deep wrinkles, and offers a nonsurgical alternative to facial lifting procedures. This is usually used in treatments such as resolving baggy lower eyelids and excess upper eyelid skin, to improvement in the appearance of scarring, including post-surgery scars, acne scars, and stretch marks, to the treatment of active acne. There is usually downtime with intensified energy procedures.
