Laser Hair Removal Instructions
When you take care of your skin properly pre- and post-treatment, you’ll be able to see and feel the difference. Let’s go over the necessary care instructions to maintain and promote the effectiveness of your laser hair removal in New Canaan.
Pre-Care Instructions
- Stop using hydroquinone products 48 hours before your treatment.
- Stay out of the sun in the weeks leading up to your appointment.
- Do not wax, use hair removal creams, or shave immediately before your session.
- Make sure your skin is well-hydrated.
- If you’ve taken Accutane, make sure it’s been at least 6 months since your last dose.
Post-Care Instructions
- Apply antibiotic ointment right away if your skin blisters or breaks.
- Avoid excessive sun exposure for two weeks and apply sunscreen daily.
- Stay away from intense heat for the next week.
- Schedule follow-up appointments in accordance with your treatment plan.
