There are a few necessary steps you can take before and after your plasma pen in New Canaan. That’s how we help you achieve the best results and keep your skin healthy. By following them, you can ensure a smooth recovery and get the most out of your rejuvenation journey.
Pre-Care Instructions (BBL and Halo Lasers)
- Discontinue the use of hydroquinone products 48 hours before your treatment.
- Avoid prolonged sun exposure in the weeks leading up to your appointment.
- Do not wax, use hair removal creams, or shave right before your session.
- Hydrate well to keep your skin moist.
- If you’ve used Accutane, make sure it’s been at least 6 months since your last dose.
Post-Care Instructions (BBL Laser)
- Apply antibiotic ointment immediately if your skin blisters or breaks.
- Be prepared—freckles and sunspots may darken and flake off in the next two weeks following the BBL laser in New Canaan.
- Use Tylenol to relieve discomfort, but avoid taking aspirin.
- Avoid prolonged sun exposure for two weeks and apply SPF 30+ sunscreen daily.
- Stay out of hot showers, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, sunbeds, and intense workouts for a week.
- Do not wear makeup for 24 hours after your treatment.
- Do not swim in pools with chlorine until your skin heals.
Post-Care Instructions (Halo Laser)
- Refrain from shaving for 5 days after treatment.
- Apply a gentle cream or vaseline to keep your skin hydrated.
- Avoid hot tubs, steam rooms, or saunas until your skin has healed.
