Halo Laser Skin Resurfacing

It’s called the “Halo glow” for a reason. With Halo® laser skin resurfacing, all skin types can restore a healthy, youthful glow with minimal downtime and long-lasting complexion improvements. As the world’s first hybrid fractional laser, Halo combines both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths to trigger your body’s natural healing response and dramatically reduce common pigmentation irregularities, signs of aging, skin dullness and more.

Halo laser skin resurfacing can help:

Improve pore size

Reduce hyperpigmentation and discoloration

Correct sun damage

Diminish fine lines and wrinkles

Treat acne scars

Brighten dullness

Smooth skin texture

Create a more even skin tone

What to Expect

When you arrive at your appointment, we will apply a topical numbing cream 30 minutes to an hour before your Halo. This along with integrated cooling technology will help reduce any discomfort during the treatment. To ensure an even and uniform treatment, we will measure the treated area with motion-tracking technology. As we apply the laser to each area of treated skin, you may feel occasional prickling and warm sensations which are generally well tolerated. This sunburned sensation may last for an additional 30 to 60 minutes following treatment. Your skin will remain red over the next few days to a week as it heals and renews before flaking off and revealing your new, radiant skin.

Tips For Getting Your Best Results

  • You may want to lay low as your skin is healing, so keep your schedule free in the days to weeks following your Halo. Depending on the intensity of your treatment, you may experience a week or two of peeling and skin renewal.
  • Be gentle to your skin as it heals. Avoid wearing makeup or using exfoliating agents in the week following your Halo treatment.

  • To soothe your skin and speed healing, apply Aquaphor® or another approved non-comedogenic salve. This will help your skin retain moisture and prevent it from drying out.

FAQ: Halo Laser Skin Resurfacing

IN NEW CANAAN, CT

Using two distinct wavelengths — ablative and non-ablative — Halo can simultaneously treat both the skin’s outer layers and the deeper dermis for intense skin renewal with shorter downtime than similar laser treatments.
Downtime will vary depending on your customized treatment plan. Milder Halos typically require three to five days of downtime while more intense treatments may require up to a week of downtime as your skin renews.
You can expect to see initial results two to five days after your Halo with continued improvements over the following weeks and months as your skin produces new collagen. Regular at-home skin care and sunscreen use is essential for maintaining your newly refreshed, glowing skin.
With just one to two treatments, or a series of milder treatments, your Halo results can last for years! Continued improvements to the radiance and youthfulness of your skin will appear with each additional treatment you undergo.
